So my turtle Rick bought something off a DNM the other day and the seller shipped the item then canceled the order said it got returned for some reason so he said reorder an he’ll throw in extra for the troubl. The guy had great ratings and was quick with the response so rick did and when he bought the second order the dude didn’t ship for a couple of days then Sent a msg saying to plz FE the order and Rick said no Cuz he hadn’t worked with dude long enough. Then Rick gets a msg saying that he wants to meet in person to do the order cuz it just fucking happens he lives in the same town….a town in the middle of the fucking desert….this scared rick so damn back he won’t come back out of his fucking shell for fear of having a gun jammed down his throat.

My worry is that when they accepted the order and refunded the bitcoin that they can now somehow track that bitcoin back to my stupid fucking turtle… he used Bulls hit ship info so should be good there. Someone please let me kmow what really went down and what to do now to clean up this mess.

Yes, we all know that TOR obscures your IP address – but many users have multiple aliases, if they sign in under different usernames without creating a new identity then even though the IP has no connection with you, it would be connecting different accounts. Say a re-seller vendor logs out and logs in as a buyer, if LE was able to decrypt the addresses or someone was lazy enough to click Auto-Encrypt, I would assume it would be very simple to connect identical IP addresses and match the vendor with the address on their order.

Would TOR be enough plausible deniability to claim it was coincidental?

I have been using GPG Suite on my mac. Although I’m not particularly tech savvy I was able to manage the PGP setup. My problem is that my hard drive got wiped when my mac was erased from icloud, and my GPG Suite was not backed up. I still have the private and private key, pass phrase, and email….is it possible to somehow reinstall the GPG software and continue with my previous keys?

This may be demonstrating a lack of understanding of PGP, but I’d rather not go through the hassle of changing keys and relearning installation (as I have forgotten the details)

Thanks!

What exactly is meant when vendors on the DN tell you to set up a dead drop? Is that a particular place to have your purchased items sent to in leu of your actual address?
How do I go about setting up one in the USA?
I’m relatively new to the deep web so I’m learning.

Just curious if I was ever in a situation where someone was trying to link a public IP that was obtained over VPN…could my spotify account give me away?

For example, I’m on my normal ISP connected to spotify….suddenly I flip on VPN and spotify see’s my IP address change.

If someone had the logs for spotify wouldn’t that perfectly link me to the new public IP address I’m receiving over VPN?

Or am I think about this wrong?

Ok here’s my problem…found an app called Mailvelope, super easy, I know how to use it providing the message goes through email. But say someone has my key, then wrote me a message on a piece of paper and I have to decrypt using my key? Not sure how to go about it. I would appreciate any helpful tips you could lend! Thanks

It’s detrimental to everyone. It’s been stated over n over. I think if we name these vendors they will switch to a more secure pgp version. I found a list of vendors’keys on cloud nine so that market is covered. Just search the document. I started a list but already have 10 and just started the on ‘B’ vendors. I better get good reddit karma for that when I’m done haha jk.

I want to use an email provider which is heavily encrypted.

I have read about Lelantos, which sends traffic through Tor, but it´s with costs.

Are there any reliable alternatives?

Or should I use bitmessage?
At the moment, I cant use the client (there is a client, right?) on tails, so I want to use bitmessage website. Is that a good idea?
But bitmessage works only bitmessage-to-bitmessage right?

Should I browse your website just with a Tor client or can use my normal browser.

How do you – the deepdotweb admin – proceed? Are you blogging through Tor?
